That Time Lisa Took Over Traditional Home’s Instagram

You may remember the three day span where our very own Lisa Palmer was solely in charge of Traditional Home’s instagram account!! She did such a good job that we wanted to commemorate those posts here on Always Summer. Each photo below is linked to the original Insta post, so feel free to click and give the post a like if you haven’t already! Many of the posts have even more photos than what we’re showing here, so you’re definitely going to want to flip through those if you haven’t already.

Lisa, we are so proud of the job you did! You showcased your work, our stores, our designers, the Jackson metro area, and Mississippi SO WELL!

Here are Lisa’s posts:

Good morning, y’all! I’m @lpdesignlove of @shopsummerhousefrom the wonderful state of Mississippi. I am beyond thrilled to be taking over the Instagram account of @traditionalhomeand showing you around my beautiful city of Jackson, along with stories and anecdotes (I am a true southerner, after all) and giving you a glimpse into an interior designer’s busy life. I’ll even give you a taste of jazz and blues and Mississippi barbecue. Strap on your seatbelts… It’s gonna be a bumpy but enjoyable ride! #designertakeover

Hey y’all! It’s me, @lpdesignlove, again for #designertakeover. How about lunch at one of my favorite spots in Jackson? @thepigandpint is barbecue at its best! And you can’t have bbq without pig! (and I’m jewish!) This joint is not for the vegans of the world, but, hey… We have that too! Here you gotta put the feed bag on ‘cause it is eatin’ time! There is a long standing feud about the greatest barbecue. From Mississippi to St. Louis to Memphis to Texas, we ALL think we have the best! But we in Mississippi know we have it locked! To all the interior designers out there, we have to stop and have a good lunch, right? This work is hard!

Hey again! @lpdesignlove for the @traditionalhome#DesignerTakeover showing you one of my recent projects that sits in the center of Jackson, Mississippi in one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city. It was a huge renovation for my client, as this Greek Revival home was built in 1950. The rooms were colorful and furnishings were full of pattern and fringes. #WeveAllBeenThere! It was time to make it their home! And… we are always tweaking and adding. That’s the beauty of having a great home, isn’t it? What is interesting about the property is, although it’s in an established neighborhood, my clients have the sweetest Amish chicken coop with live chickens and fresh eggs for their morning omelettes! They even have a couple of peacocks! There is a dog run, an underground knocked out wine cellar, and a small farm all on 8.2 acres. Swipe to see more of this beautiful home. #countrycometotown #alittleofbothworlds#theperfecthome

It’s @lpdesignlove from @shopsummerhouse here again for #DesignerTakeover! Art is extremely personal AND important to the overall design of a room. I won’t show a client a piece of art for a space just because it looks good over the sofa. It has to evoke a positive emotional response. They have to LOVE their art. It also has to have the “feel” that I am trying to achieve for the space. I am very fortunate to have amazing art galleries to work with. Not only will I select art from the Jackson area, but just 3 hours south is New Orleans and just east are Birmingham and Atlanta! Here is a project I worked on that I literally built the design around my client’s FABulous art collection. Even the walls are works of art: A local artisan hand painted a lacquered strie in the dining room, and the hand painted stencil on the powder room wall was perfectly executed as far as scale and color palette.

Hey all you music lovers! It’s @lpdesignlove from @shopsummerhouse for #DesignerTakeover. Although Interior Design is my number one gig, I’ve been performing on stages around the southeast as a jazz vocalist for over 25 years. To quote one of Mississippi’s greatest sons, B.B.King -“Jazz is the big brother of the blues. If a guy’s playing blues like we play, he’s in high school. When he starts playing jazz, it’s like going on to college”. Mississippi is the true home of the blues and @HalandMals in Jackson is the venue to pop over to to get your jazz and blues fix. Tuesday night is Jazz night and musicians from all over sit in to hone their jazz skills. So, every Tuesday night is different. But that’s jazz. Did you know that Mississippi has more grammy winners than any other state?? Music is in our blood. As a jazz singer I can’t begin to count how many nights I’ve spent at Hal and Mal’s performing. Some of my best memories are within these walls. I think the microphone still has my lipstick stain! 💋#mississippimusic#mississippiculture

Color is coming back! 💙 Hey again y’all! @lpdesignlovehijacking @traditionalhome for their #DesignerTakeover! Yesss… color IS back. Whether you love a room with lots of color or just pop your favorite color in an all white room, it always works. Don’t get me wrong… I love an all white room, if it is done correctly, but we have been in need of color for a while now. In this project, I had a client who loves any shade of blue. That is what makes her happy and that is what I did. From azure to cobalt, we incorporated her blue crush as much as possible… and she LOVES her home! Blue is a timeless color and you can use it with abandon! Swipe for more from this beautiful home. Photos by @jallsopp

Welcome back @traditionalhome followers!! @lpdesignlove for TH’s #DesignerTakeover here! As the owner and principal designer of SummerHouse in Ridgeland and Oxford MS, I wear a LOT of hats! But the one hat I am most proud to wear is mentoring and working with my staff of 22, who frankly, are the hardest working people I know. 11 are Interior Designers and their design assistants. Their talent is extraordinary and they make me BEYOND proud. (Swipe for more photos of their work.) Our 8800 square foot Ridgeland showroom opened in 2006 and we just brought another SummerHouse to the super cool city of Oxford, MS in December of 2016. (Post about that coming soon!) Running this large operation takes a village for SURE! It just so happens our village is beautifully adorned with skilled, experienced, and wickedly talented individuals!

Hotty Toddy from Oxford, Mississippi!! @lpdesignlove in for #DesignerTakeover ‘bout to tell y’all a little bit about this place. A little over a year ago, I made the decision to put my second store location on the square in this quintessentially charming American town. What draws people from all over the world to Oxford? Maybe Ole Miss and tailgating in the grove (NOTHING like it!) Or it could be that it’s the literary center of the south, where Rowan Oak, (pictured) the home of William Faulkner so beautifully sits and more presently, ties to Willie Morris and John Grisham. Or maybe it’s the bars, five star hotels, restaurants and unique shops around the historic square. Or possibly John Currence, the James Beard award winning chef at @bigbadbreakfast and @citygroceryoxford. And you have to put Taylor Grocery on your bucket list! THE best catfish, hushpuppies, turnip greens and good ole bluegrass/gospel played by men as old as your grandpa! HYDR!

Let’s talk about gorgeous areas to have al fresco dining! @Lpdesignlove for #DesignerTakeoverhere. There is nothing quite like a warm summer evening. It seriously is my favorite time of the day/year. Especially if you have this back of the house porch that overlooks a lake with a family of white swans! Y’all might recognize this house. This project was featured in the March/April @traditionalhome. I wanted to show you all a little bit more of the spectacular porch that my clients LOVE to relax on and have their evening meals with friends. It was really important for me to provide comfortable lounge seating, and always ample side tables to set drinks on. The large concrete dining table is not only functional, but with our humidity and pollen dust, it is easily cleanable. When my clients entertain, this is where most of the fun people hang out! || 📷: @jallsopp

Hello again, TH readers! @Lpdesignlove from @shopsummerhouse for #DesignerTakeover here to tell you about one of Jackson, MIssissippi’s oldest and best corner cafes: the Mayflower Cafe. If anyone saw The Help, you might remember that Skeeter and Stuart had dinner here. They probably had the Redfish Jane or the Breaded Veal Cutlets with Tomato Gravy. Did you know that the director and writer of The Help are both from Mississippi? The coolest thing about this place is that dinner at The Mayflower on a Saturday night is a social event! You seriously run into EVERYONE you know. So… you better carve out enough time for conversation and fellowship and come hungry! #mississippi #themayflower || 📷: @nashker

Happy afternoon! @lpdesignlove from @shopsummerhousefor #DesignerTakeover! I’m dreaming of crawling into this bed after my incredibly busy day! Unfortunately it is not MY bedroom and I’m sure my client would be surprised if she saw me cutting Z’s in her guest room! This room was designed on a budget although it looks like a million bucks. The textural throw at the foot is from @potterybarn and even the paper pendant (which you can’t see in this photo, but you can see in the instastory!) was a super price. The only splurge is the silk velvet pillow on the bed. But… nothing else looks or FEELS like silk velvet! Some things are non-negotiable. 😃 || 📷: @agoodsonphoto

Q&A With Interior Designer Jenni Hilbun

We are so excited to have Interior Designer Jenni Hilbun join the SummerHouse team in our Oxford location! Jenni is so much fun, is beyond talented, and keeps us laughing! We are thankful to have her as a part of our family. We think you’ll enjoy getting to know her just as much as we have!

SummerHouse | Oxford Interior Designer Jenni Hilbun // www.alwayssummerblog.comCan you tell us a little bit about your background?

I grew up across the south – North Carolina, Georgia, and Mississippi. I spent lots of time with my grandparents in Columbia, MS learning everything from needlepoint (which eventually lead to sewing) to Canasta and of course, spoons!  I finished college at MSU with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Theory. I fueled my creative side with all types of sewing projects and poured through books and magazines learning interior specialty sewing and loving it, often sewing into the wee hours of the morning. This love and ability has grown into a 20 year career in Interior Design.

I live on a farm in Pontotoc County with my husband, Benton, three children, three dogs, one crazy cat, two beautiful horses and five hens! Life is full and rewarding.

At what point did you realize you were interested in interior design?

Pretty early actually. One of my grandmothers always let us cousins decorate her house for Christmas and that was such a treat. She bought whatever “supplies” we wanted and we went to town with it! We even caught her piano on fire one year with a candle! Never even got in trouble, although I’m sure she was clenching her jaw!
She also fostered my love of sewing and fabrics.

If you could travel anywhere in the world for a week, where would you go?

I am really a homebody. I love being at home!

What is the best movie you’ve seen recently? Why’d you like it?

I don’t really go to movies… They’re too loud! But I have been watching The Crown and Reign and loving both. Of course the costumes and drapery details are fantastic.

What’s your favorite local restaurant and why?

I have lots of favorite restaurants because I don’t like to cook. My very favorites are the ones that get a “to go” order correct consistently! And have a pickup lane.

What is your favorite design publication?

This oscillates between Veranda and Traditional Home. Such good publications. I have difficulty parting with back issues.

If Hollywood wanted to make a movie about you, what actress would you want playing you? Why?

Reese Witherspoon because she catches my attention. She is about my size (a.k.a. “short”) and she is already Southern.

Give us the number one reason you’re excited to be a part of the SummerHouse team!

Absolutely because it is a part of a team. Also, positively: Lisa Palmer!

What is your favorite thing about being an interior designer?

My favorite thing about being a designer is helping families and clients fall in love with their home and special keepsakes all over again.

Who is your favorite character on a TV show and why?

Loreli Gilmore. I SO relate!

What else do we need to know about you?

I am part time at SummerHouse and am primarily there on Monday, Thursday, and Friday, but will always make an appointment convenient for my client.

Meet SummerHouse | Ridgeland Designer Lana Pate

Meet Interior Designer Lana Pate! // www..alwayssummerblog.comWe are so excited to introduce y’all to our newest designer at SummerHouse | Ridgeland! Her name is Lana Pate and she is such a perfect addition to our team. We love this girl, and we think you will too. Get to know her a little better with this quick Q&A!

What got you interested in the Interior Design field?

One of my mother’s best friends was a decorator as I was growing up.  Our families spent a lot of time together.  I loved being around her amazing and never ending energy.  It was impressive watching her make “something” out of “nothing”.  She encouraged me at an early age to pursue my talents and dreams, and she remained a mentor to me throughout my career.

How would you describe your personal taste in design?

My personal taste is much like my personality – colorful!  I decorate my home the same way I advise my clients to design theirs – by surrounding myself with things I love.  I love original art with bold bright colors.  I also have a huge obsession for luxurious fabrics. Velvet being my most favorite!  Did I mention I love gold?  A girl’s got to have a little bling in her world.  My decor is classic with a dose of French and pops of color.

What is your favorite day to spend a day off?

I like to spend my day off by sleeping in then meeting my sister for a delicious lunch at one of our local restaurants.  In the afternoon, I like to go see a movie alone.  It’s a different experience going to the cinema alone versus with family/friends.  When I’m alone, I can completely immerse myself in the story and escape reality for a couple of hours.  I like to end my day with a long hot bath and a good book.

What’s the best movie you’ve seen recently and why?

Since I literally go almost every week, it’s hard to narrow the field.  Though it’s been a few months, The Light Between Oceans had a profound effect on me.  The story and the characters were very complex.  It was an incredibly sad movie (book), but I could sympathize with each character’s plight.  I pretty much cried the entire time.

What is your favorite source of design inspiration?

My go to source has always been magazines such as Veranda, Traditional Home, Architectural Digest, etc.  I think I started subscribing to Traditional Home when I was 13.  But I also enjoy letting art inspire me.  If I hit a “block” on a project, I’ll head to a local art gallery.  It never fails to get my creativity flowing again

How do you take your caffeine?

My daily dose is unsweetened tea.  But my favorite is Dr. Pepper (preferably in a can).  Sadly, I consider those treats these days!

What is your favorite part of being in the Summerhouse family so far?

I’m loving being surrounded by so much creative energy.  I enjoy how everyone just seems to feed off one another.  It’s fun to see others’ projects and design styles.  And it’s nice to have sounding boards sometimes.

Thank you, Lana! Welcome to the SummerHouse fam! 🙂

Long Distance Design

This design project was done without the clients and the designer ever meeting face to face! Incredible! // alwayssummerblog.com

Designer Elish Phares Moon recently wrapped up a design project in Texas after a long distance working relationship with her clients, whom she has never before met face to face! This project is so interesting because it shows us what fabulous designers, understanding clients, great communication, and a great delivery team can accomplish! We asked Elish to share a little more about the project and how it worked because we are just so darn impressed with how it all turned out!

“In December of 2016, I had an inquiry about design services and potential work with some clients in Spring Valley, Texas. This young couple had just purchased their dream home and had budgeted for working with a designer to nail down the look they wanted in their main rooms. Focusing on the dining room, living room, and master bedroom, we discussed design direction in depth and committed to a tight timeline. Because the couple wanted to be able to move in to completely furnished rooms by their closing date, I brainstormed the initial design scheme with Lisa Palmer, SummerHouse’s owner and principal designer, to speed up the process. (I got my start at SummerHouse as her assistant before moving on to a full time designer.) She and I work well together and were able to streamline the couple’s vision into a beautiful and functional design for their young family quickly.”

The key to working with a client long-distance is transparency and communication. We put together a detailed presentation packet complete with samples and swatches that were clearly labeled. Two of my strengths are organization and communication, so I actually really enjoy working on out-of-
state projects! Our clients asked detailed questions and gave us great feedback. After a few minor changes we got everything on order and began our countdown until the install! Thanks to understanding clients dedicated to quality design, trusted vendors, an experienced delivery team, and a little patience, this project evolved into a finished design that I take pride in and that my clients enjoy!”

Designer of the Week Katherine Shelton

SummerHouse Designer of the Week Katherine SheltonOur newest Designer of the Week is Katherine Shelton! We love having Katherine as a part of our team. She is such a hard worker and filled with so many great ideas!!

Let’s get on to her Designer of the Week Q&A!

Tell us about a few of your favorite details in a project you’re currently working on!

All of my projects lately, no matter the color palate, seem to have a lot of texture in them. From all of the fabrics to the finishes on the furniture and the accessories as well as the art. And I am Loving it. I LOVE textures!!! They make me very happy!

What is your favorite design trend right now (and why?)

I currently have several favorite design trends. I really like all the carrera marble we are seeing. It seems to be everywhere! Floors in the kitchen and bathrooms, backsplashes and walls. At SummerHouse we have just gotten in some of the cutest picture frames and coasters mixed with carrera marble and wood. Love them! I am also really liking chevron pattern floors… You can lay this pattern with wood, natural stone, or brick. Just makes a small or large space so interesting and can give a room that designer look instantly. Of coarse we want to keep this at a minimum in one home! And lastly, I love all of the brushed gold! It is all the rage. From cabinet hardware and bath fixtures to lamps and chandeliers. And mixing it with grey paint colors and carrera marble is my favorite look. You can also find brushed gold on furniture nail heads and casters and all kinds of accessories come in this finish.

SummerHouse Designer of the Week Katherine Shelton

Is there a publication, book, blog, website, magazine that has just really inspired you lately? Tell us about it!

I Love the Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles. It is always so full of fresh ideas. I am also very fond of Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles because I lived Buckhead and truly miss living in in that beautiful city. I hope to one day be able to move back. Everyone drums to their own beat. The homes are all so unique to the personalities of each homeowner. I love all of the creativity and uniqueness shown in this publication each and every time it comes out.

What’s your favorite room in a home to design? Why?

My very favorite space to design in a home is a child’s bedroom. It is where I can be the most creative, the most fun, and the most colorful or bold in pattern play. The look on a child’s face when you reveal the space to them is also so wonderful. Wallpaper or fun paint on the walls, modern mixed with antique or vintage pieces, fun built in play spaces or desk areas, a mixture of original art, photography, and prints and custom bedding and window treatments are just a few important key factors on creating a fabulous baby, child, or teen bedroom.

White on White

We absolutely love all white spaces. White on white is crisp, neutral, both modern AND traditional, and simply soothing. All white spaces start with all white walls and trim, so we hit up our design staff for their favorite white + white combos. We love what they’ve picked!

The SummerHouse designers weigh in on their favorite white on white paint color combinations! // www.alwayssummerblog.com

Design Assistant Anabel Webb prefers the Benjamin Moore combo Decorator’s White with Simply White on the trim. Design Assistant Camille Holland Parker likes White Dove on White Dove! Design Assistant Krystle Short’s pick is Ben Moore’s Navajo White on the walls with Farrow & Ball James White on the trim. Designer Katy Sanders likes all Ben Moore Ivory White on both walls AND trim! Lindsey Townsend loves Ben Moore Moonlight White with Simply White on the trim. Katy Carone’s pick is Ben Moore Glacier White on the wall with White Dove on the trim.

Designer Elish Phares Moon likes the monochromatic Ben Moore Moonlight White on both walls and trim and tells us why it’s so beautiful!

“One color? For the walls AND trim? It may sound too good to be true, but in this case, less is more. Although it’s a little too much restraint for some personalities, an all white house is incredibly inviting. It took me a while to get on board. I thought “all white? and stifle my creativity? Leave a huge canvas… blank? NEVER! ” I first tried this combo with a client in Oxford… when I finally saw the finished product it was love at first sight. I loved it so much I did it in my own home- and I fall a little more in love with it each day.”

Great picks, designers. Do YOU have a favorite white on white combo? Tell us in the comments below!

What is your favorite design trend right now and why?

My favorite design trend right now is actually designers who are using their expertise to explore designs a little off the beaten path. In a new generation of clients who are Pinterest, HGTV, and internet educated it’s sometimes difficult for interior designers to “wow” their clients. I love seeing designs that aren’t replicas of the most commonly pinned bathroom on Pinterest. I’m not pointing fingers- I’m definitely guilty of sometimes seeking inspiration online before wracking my own brain. But I’ve been really inspired lately not by perfectly replicated designs, but by the designers and clients who take a little liberty with trying out new things!

We know designers always have a little pile of samples of things that they hope to be able to use in their own homes one day… Tell us about one thing that’s in your current pile and why you love it or how you plan to use it!

I am very guilty of having a “happy” pile for my future home. Right now my favorite thing is the most unessential. I am completely in love with a jeweled Samuel & Sons trim. I stare at it longingly often and dream of ways to make it work. Of course, having a seasoned design eye, I chose something very costly. I’m just like my clients though- I need to be practical. I need a home that is inviting and that doesn’t have a warning sign at the door- “no one under the age of 5, though sippy cups are welcome”. I need practical! But that doesn’t mean I haven’t ruled out a gorgeous trim on future drapery. Your home has to make YOU happy first and foremost. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

What’s your favorite room in a home to design? Why?

My favorite room to design is a living room. It’s the heartbeat of the house (second only to the kitchen) where many memories are made. I like the challenge of creating a beautiful but functional space. That one room really needs to be the full package. It has to be visually appealing, functional, the hub for the house. I think a successful living room design is incredibly rewarding.

Tell us about your favorite project to date and what you love about that particular project!

My favorite project to date has been a roughly 14 month project in Oxford, MS. We just had our first install for the project last week and I’ve never had a more rewarding experience. It wasn’t the scale of the project (though large), the budget, or the location. It was an incredibly close relationship with a client equally dedicated to not sacrificing details in her home. The projects that I consistently walk away from feeling accomplished and gratified, are the ones that reflect an open and communicative relationship with my client. It shows in every detail: the cohesiveness of rooms, materials, etc.. We worked hard to be on the same page throughout and I think it shows. I feel very grateful for the opportunity to have learned so much and gained such experience… and to have a project I can walk away from proud I have my name on it.

Getting The Most For Your Money

How to achieve high design on a low budget! Advice and selections by SummerHouse Interior Designer Katie Carone // www.alwayssummerblog.com

We gave our newest designer Katie Carone the task of putting together a living room with all new furniture but on a somewhat tight budget! She’s put this entire room together for under $15,000! Now keep in mind that this is ALL new furniture, so even if $15,000 doesn’t seem low to you, picking just a few new pieces for a certain room can really bring your existing pieces to life by only spending a fraction of this.

We love the beautiful living room she’s put together using our more well-priced designer lines! Here is more information on each piece!

Art // $1140

Cowhide Rug // $540

Grace Coffee Table // $2245

Callie Lamps // $685 each

Cole Drinking Table // $1085

Albion Sofa with three contrast pillows // $2431

Franco Chairs // $1716 each

Jolene Side Table // $855

Trudy Oval Side Table // $855

8 x 10 Sedona Sisal Rug // $390

Grand total // $14,343

Katie went with one of Lisa’s favorite design M.O.s that she calls “high/low.” This is where, even if most pieces in a space are budget conscious (or “low”), splurging on a couple of items (“high”) can really elevate the level of the entire design. Katie’s splurges were the lamps and the drinking table.

“The lamps are very transitional pieces and could be used throughout the house in several different places. On console tables, on bedside tables… So many places! And I love the acrylic base. It gives it an element of high design.”

“I aboslutely drool over that drinking table. Black and gold is my obsession! I know it’s more expensive, but when you find one piece you absolutely love, you just can’t compromise. It gives the room that wow factor!”

“I love the idea of ordering a sofa that comes standard with contrast pillows like this one. You can order them in a different fabric and use them somewhere completely different, like on a guest bed or in some side chairs.”

“Revere Pewter is one of my absolute favorite paint colors– it would be really nice in this room. I love that you can use browns and grays with it!”

Thank you so much, Katie! We love what you’ve pulled together! If you have any more questions about these pieces, give Katie a call! 601-853-4445

Inside The Orange Box: What I Didn’t Learn In Design School

We started a column last year called What I Didn’t Learn In Design School where designers, after working professionally as a designer in the field, share what they’ve had to learn in the “real” design world that school may not have taught them!

Today one of our newest designers, Camille Holland Parker, shares what she has learned in the field that she didn’t necessarily learn in school!

What SummerHouse Interior Designers didn't learn in design school // www.alwayssummerblog.com

“In design school they teach about what all it takes to design a space, and about the professionals that you will be working alongside to help you in any areas you aren’t familiar with, like flooring, tile and hard surfaces, and certain types of furniture. As the “newbie”/student, you’re quite intimidated by the professionals that you’ve not yet made relationships with, but as a professional interior designer I’ve come to rely on my fellow professionals and I am not intimidated to call them with questions and inquiries. It is a team effort to get the work done and the space designed, so I wish I had had more confidence in contacting other professionals in the industry early on. Communication has proven to be as key in our industry as in any other. It takes a village for a great design to formulate!”

Good stuff, Camille! Communication and working with others really is SO important!

Thank you for dropping by today — we appreciate it so much! Have a great weekend!

Lovely Living

When designer Elish Phares Moon fist met with new client Dot, who she refers to as one of her sweetest clients, their personalities automatically clicked! As Elish began to talk through designing Dot’s new town home, which was a downsize from where she previously lived, Elish found that the most important thing to Dot was keeping a feeling of spaciousness despite the decreased square footage.

Of designing the space, Elish says, “the biggest challenge in this space was creating adequate seating and keeping symmetry without sacrificing an open floor plan.”

Dot was very open to Elish’s design direction but wanted to still be able to showcase her own personality, which Elish was completely open to! Dot’s living area turned out to be a perfect reflection of her: timeless with a bit of spunk!

Elish’s favorite aspect of the space was the beautiful skirted sofa and leather ottoman. “It feels like a space that could have passed for a traditional sitting room yet is still cozy and inviting. Plus Dot is the consummate hostess and always keeps fresh flowers in a little vase on the ottoman that doubles as her coffee table.”

This design is truly a wonderful example of a designer/client working relationship.

“Dot was very trusting of my expertise but made sure that we had specific places where her personality showed through. She hand selected the accent pillows on the sofa from a trip to Philadelphia; They marry perfectly with the subtle hues I already selected for the living area,” says Elish!

We love how it all turned out! Thank you, Elish and Dot, for contributing! 🙂

One thing our designers are really looking forward to is breakfast with Barbara on Friday morning! Lisa is all about our staff learning as much as possible and bringing new design perspectives to our area by way of chatting with design greats like Barbara! Our designers are always looking to grow, so designer chats like the one we have planned for Friday morning will not only benefit our designers, but you as well, since they’ll be growing their knowledge and using it when designing your home!

We are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow from 3 p.m to 6 p.m. We plan to have a  great time!

See you then!
